About Linpedia

What is Linpedia?

Linpedia is a free platform that makes learning English fun and accessible. With content organized under units and themes, it helps teachers and students easily find the materials they need.

Why Linpedia?

On Linpedia, target language structures and vocabulary are taught in a natural context through videos. Students learn with both visual and auditory input. L1 is not used in the videos; instead, students are encouraged to discover meaning on their own.

How did Linpedia start?

Linpedia emerged from the need created by limited English lesson hours in public schools. It was designed to expose students to more visual and auditory input and to turn English into a life skill. It aims to meet this need by using the listening strengths of younger learners.

Ways to use Linpedia

In class, you can use Linpedia content as a warm-up or to introduce target structures and vocabulary. With the downloadable worksheets under each video, you can conduct a ready 30-minute lesson or include them in your end-of-unit role-play activities. Outside the classroom, you can assign worksheets as homework. Thanks to QR codes, students can access videos on tablets, phones, or computers to complete assignments and increase their exposure to English listening at home.

Completely free and open to everyone

All content on Linpedia is free. Without any fees or membership barriers, teachers, students, and parents can easily access all materials.
